Kaafi Tuinukuafe has over 20 years of experience in the food industry. Originally from Tonga Islands in the South Pacific, he studied hotel and restaurant management and culinary arts in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has experience catering, working in restaurants from barbecue to fine dining, as well as at Whole Foods where he created an original luau menu distributed nationwide. He is now looking forward to bringing his fresh ideas and culture to the Pacific Northwest. Chef Kaafi enjoys using locally sourced ingredients, including seafood, into his menu.
Kaafi brings multi-generational expertise for seafood and barbecue from growing up in the South Pacific. He draws from a wide range of cultures, including his own, to create colorful vegetarian and vegan plates as well as specialty meats. He continues to build upon his culinary experience daily to explore new flavors.
Chef Kaafi has been baking and improving his sourdough loaves, naan, and pizzas for years. Kaafi’s cooking delivers - especially in combination with his specialty bread, which can be prepared on-site with his outdoor pizza ovens. Kaafi believes delicious food comes from the heart and with a lifetime of experiences in different cuisines, he would like to share them with you!
